At Gakells we pride ourselves on our high levels of customer care, and customer satisfaction, as we know without our customers we are nothing. We wanted to share some of the ways we’ve been supporting them since the start of the Covid 19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
- On Friday March the 20th when the Prime Minister announced all leisure and hospitality businesses had to close, we immediately recognised the impact this would have on many of our customers.We spent the next few days phoning customers affected to check if they needed their services suspending. Obviously, some of these had already closed, so we automatically suspended collection charges for all businesses affected.
- Monday 23rd March saw the start of lockdown, meaning all non-essential retail businesses were to close and non-essential travel was to stop. We once again contacted all our customers affected, and arranged one last collection before temporarily suspending services so their business premises would be waste free.
- Since then we’ve been in regular contact with all our customers. We’ve put payment plans in place for those struggling financially. We’ve arranged one off site clearances for those tidying up their premises, along with delivering skips and providing extra collections where needed. We’ve provided an uninterrupted service for all our customers in key industries, who rely on us, including the NHS, food manufacturing, schools and logistics. As lockdown now eases and more and more of our customers re-open their doors, we’re in contact with all of them to gradually re-introduce their collections.
