Business Waste Management
Most businesses produce recyclable and non-recyclable General Waste. While we are all making more of an effort at home, it can be more difficult to keep up a responsible waste disposal plan in a busy workplace.
However, it is a legal requirement for all businesses in the UK to follow a ‘Duty of Care’ in ensuring the waste they produce is stored responsibly and only disposed of by businesses licensed to do so.
The Government website contains a useful summary of a business’s legal responsibilities.
Our commercial waste collection services are already helping more than 5,000 businesses, including healthcare, retail and manufacturing, as well as many other business sectors.

How do we process your non-recyclable waste?
We continually invest time and money in technologies that dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly way. We also work with other waste collection companies to process and dispose of their waste materials. Our goal is to improve the ecological footprint of the industry as a whole.
After collection, your waste is taken to our recycling facility where, with the assistance of automated sorting technology, we separate general waste from recyclable waste. The residual waste which we cannot recycle is then baled, wrapped and sent to Energy from Waste facilities for use as fuel (RDF).
We constantly look for environmentally friendly ways to use commercial waste by reducing the volume of waste that goes to landfill. Some forms of business and commercial waste contain locked in energy that when burnt forms steam that powers a turbine. The energy generated by turbines can power homes and businesses. The emissions released during the process are carefully controlled to ensure the air is free of emissions that are harmful to the environment before releasing it into the atmosphere.
