Gaskells are once again proud to have been a part of what we consider to be the best race meeting in the world, The Grand National Festival at Aintree. There really is nothing like it for the atmosphere, and sheer scale of it.. the thousands of people there, and millions watching around the world.
This event is huge, and takes a lot of planning, and we’ve been there throughout, from the early stages, to the build, right through to the main event. There is a saying, a picture tells a thousand words, so we’re sharing a lot of pictures with you on this, as the whole Festival, from start to finish, was just fantastic.
On Ladies Day, it was fantastic to have Hannah and Wayne with us, who won the auction for hospitality tickets we donated to the James Bulger Charity Ball. Cath from Merseyrail and her husband joined us too. We were also out and about, taking pictures and speaking to some of the stunning ladies there, and posting pictures of those, to counteract the sometimes negative coverage from the national media.
Fast Forward to Saturday, the day of the Grand National, where we’re extremely proud to have sponsored the first race of the day.
The Gaskells Handicap Hurdle was won by Mr Big Shot, with our Commercial Director Denise, and Kate Gaskell presenting the trophy to the winning jockey, trainer and owner.
We all absolutely love Aintree, and can’t wait to do it all again next year.
