Gaskells are proud to announce one of their chosen charities for 2017 is The Whitechapel Centre, which helps homeless people in and around Liverpool. The issue of homelessness is something very close to the hearts of everyone at Gaskells, particularly the drivers, who see people sleeping on the streets every single day.

To kick off Gaskells support for the Whitechapel Centre, Team Gaskells took part in this year’s Liverpool Sleepout, organised by the Whitechapel Centre, joining 300 other people, sleeping under the stars in the grounds of St James Church in Toxteth, on Friday the 13th of October.

At least £30,000 pounds was raised that night, and Gaskells are proud to have played a small part, even though our team didn’t get much sleep! It was a small price to pay to get some kind of idea of what people on the streets are going through, and was also a fantastic night, with some truly wonderful people taking part, all with the same goal in mind.
