This month we’re proud to have been a part of The Anglesey Show for the second year. It’s one of the biggest events of the year for the community of Anglesey, and saw more than 50 thousand people pass through the gates.
This year, we were joined on our stand by the team from Pakawaste Ltd who are our preferred supplier of compaction and baling equipment, with teams from both companies arriving on site days ahead of the event to set up.
The show is an annual two day event held each August at the Mona Showground. It’s a major agricultural show, attracting not only locals, but many of the people on holiday there. There’s allsorts on display, including animals and livestock, a shopping and exhibition pavilion, equestrian events, craft exhibitors, food hall, produce exhibitions, machinery and vehicle stands as well as much more. One of the highlights for us was the Shetland Pony Grand National, which was absolutely fantastic.
We also loved seeing all the visitors to our stand, again, our giant deckchair went down a storm, with plenty of people coming to put their feet up. An estimated 25-30,000 people passed through the gates on the first day, slightly less on day two, as the weather was slightly inclement, but there was still a huge turnout and we’d like to thank everyone who came to say hello.
Gaskells Commercial Director Denise Banks said “Our presence at the Anglesey Show 2018 goes hand in hand with our growing presence on the island where we already work with the County Council, many holiday camps and other businesses. We can confirm we’ve created five jobs locally, which we’re hoping to add to as our business continues to grow. North Wales is an incredibly beautiful part of the world, with lots of thriving businesses, and we’re proud to be working here.”
