Just under six weeks to go… and Gaskells are gearing up for the Grand National Festival at Aintree, for the third year running. We’re also proud to announce, once again, we’ll be sponsoring the first race on Grand National Day itself.
More than 150,000 people are set to pass through Aintree over the three days starting from Thursday April 12th, and the eyes of the world will be on Merseyside, for what we consider to be the best meeting in the racing calendar. As anyone who knows anything about the Grand National festival, all the ladies go all out to look gorgeous and have a good time. In the past, we have seen some media do their best to paint them in a bad light, which is why this year, on Ladies Day, we’ll be running an alternative news feed on our Facebook and Twitter pages, showcasing all the fabulous outfits and the fun they’re having.
600 million people around the world tune in on TV to watch the Grand National itself, and the phrase for this year’s festival is ‘The World Is Watching.’ Gaskells are delighted to be a part of it again, our race will be the Gaskells Handicap Hurdle on Saturday the 14th April 2018.
