Gaskells has been granted the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Bronze Award, which is the industry standard for best practice across the European transport industry.

FORS recognises a company’s safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

A rigorous audit was carried out across our fleet of 30 vehicles, looking at all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. Our driver training and procedures when it comes to vulnerable road users were also assessed. Gaskells are delighted to have passed all aspects and be granted the Bronze accreditation.

The findings of the audit and Bronze status will now allow Gaskells to measure and monitor our already excellent performance, and improve our operations which hopefully, will achieve us the Silver Award.

Transport Manager at Gaskells, Lynne Eatock said:

“It shows we are implementing best practice across all the transport operation. It also demonstrates great teamwork at Gaskells, with all our drivers onboard, working to help us achieve this award. Not only is it good for us as a company but it’s good for our customers and future customers, as they can be assured our standards across the board are high, and we’re committed to leading the way in the waste industry. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work from everyone here at Gaskells, so I’d like to thank everyone in the Transport Department”
